This is my soap of choice when I work on my felting!
Marseille Soap is an excellent choice for crafters, particularly those who work with felting. This traditional soap offers numerous benefits that make it ideal for various crafting needs.
Key Features
Low Foam: When used in felting, Marseille Soap produces minimal foam, ensuring that your workspace remains manageable and your wool is easy to handle.
Gentle on Skin: Unlike many other soaps, Marseille Soap won't leave your hands dry, even after extended use with wet and soapy wool. It's gentle enough for prolonged handling.
Natural Scent: With its mild, natural smell, this soap won't overpower your senses. It contains no artificial fragrances, making it perfect for those sensitive to strong scents.
Traditional Recipe
Marseille Soap has been made using the same traditional recipe since 1850. Its time-honored production process ensures a high-quality product that has stood the test of time.
Benefits for Felting
Non-Drying: Keeps your hands soft and hydrated, even with long-term use.
Effective Cleaning: Removes dirt and impurities from wool without leaving residues.
Gentle on Wool: Maintains the integrity of your wool fibers, ensuring they remain in excellent condition throughout the felting process.
Additional Benefits
Great for Sensitive Skin: Marseille Soap is hypoallergenic and free from harsh chemicals, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin.
Eco-Friendly: Made from natural ingredients, this soap is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
Versatile: Beyond felting, Marseille Soap is also perfect for general handwashing, laundry, and even cleaning delicate fabrics.
Usage Tips
Felting: Wet your wool and rub a small amount of Marseille Soap between your hands to create a light lather. Gently work the wool until you achieve the desired felting effect.
Handwashing: Use Marseille Soap as you would any hand soap. Its gentle formula is safe for frequent use.
Laundry: Shave off a small amount of the soap and dissolve it in water for a natural, effective laundry detergent.
IMPORTANT: I would like to explain a little about the color. The batches vary from time to time as you can see in the pictures. That depends on the color of the olives when they are harvested, the temperature at the time of curing the soap, and other external factors. The colors are 100% natural, there are no dyes or any enhancements, so it is very difficult to have control of the outcome of the color of the soap. You might not get the exact color that you see in the pictures, so expect variations from tan to green.
