The Southdown breed is the oldest of the down sheep originating on the South Down hills of Sussex County, England. They are often used as natural "mowers". They produce wool that is a spinner’s delight. The wool also has a natural superwash property, meaning that it won't felt. It has a wonderful crimp, ideal for blending with other fibers and great for beginners.

All my fiber comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

I used to store my fibers with lavender sachets, but I don't anymore as I have learned that moths hate disturbances and some people are allergic to lavender. Now I dust and clean more frequently and move things around but I still include a lavender sachet with each order, unless someone requests me not to. If you don't want the lavender because you are allergic or for some other reason, let me know in the comment section, or send me a message.

I do my best to get pictures from different angles to capture and show the beauty of the color combinations. Remember that your monitor may show colors differently than mine. I'm always open to questions.

The lighting for the photos makes the colors a little brighter than they do in person, so expect the colors one or two shades darker.
